In this episode of #talks Human Library Podcast, Mr. SMM Ausaja shares the story of his passion for Indian Cinema, his love for Amitabh Bachchan, his books, his wonderful collection, and archives which speak of Indian cinema as a reflection of society and changing times.
Mr. SMM Ausaja is an Indian cinema archivist, film historian, and author who has been researching cinema since 1989. He has one of the largest private collections of posters, movie stills, song synopsis booklets, lobby cards, glass slides, postcards, LP records, and other film memorabilia. He is the Senior Vice President at Frantico. He has also directed documentaries on Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Hema Malini which were telecast on prime-time television. His debut book ‘Bollywood in Posters’ was released in 2009 at the IIFA awards in Macau and carries a foreword by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He has also co-authored another book titled Bollywood: The Films! The Songs! The Stars! Which was released in 2017. His third book, The Bachchans is soon to be released. He has worked for TV software production for established companies and simultaneously wrote cinema columns in reputed magazines.
