Abhay K. is an Indian diplomat and a poet. He is the author and editor of many poetry collections. He has written widely acknowledged anthems on different planets of our solar system. His 'Earth Anthem' is translated into over 50 languages. He received the SAARC literary award in 2013 and was invited to the library of congress in Washington DC to record his poems in 2018. In this candid conversation, Abhay K. discusses his contemporary translation of Meghaduta by Kalidasa, his research, the relevance of ancient poetry in the modern setup, and the ecological and philosophical aspects of Kalidasa's poetry.
